KarPark (hereinafter referred to as “KarPark”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates a platform and community marketplace that helps people create, list, host, discover, book and use carparks around the world, whether through our website or our mobile applications (“Platform”). KarPark refers to KPark Limited (a New Zealand Registered Business).

This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about how we treat Personal Information that we process about you. If you do not agree to any part of this Privacy Policy, then we cannot provide the Platform to you, and you should stop accessing the Platform and deactivate your KarPark account. Where the definition of a term does not appear in this Privacy Policy (such as “Listing”, “Content” etc.), it shall be given its definition as outlined in our Terms of Service.

“Data Controller” means KarPark, the company responsible for the use of and processing of Personal Information.

Examples include when you fill in any form on the Platform, access or use the Platform, link your account on a third party site to your KarPark account, or communicate with KarPark.

Mobile DataWhen you use certain features of the Platform, in particular our mobile applications, we may receive, store and process different types of information about your location, including general information (e.g., IP address, postcode) and more specific information (e.g., GPS-based functionality on mobile devices used to access the Platform).
3. Log DataWe also receive, store and process Log Data, which is information automatically recorded by our servers whenever you access or use the Platform, such as your IP Address, the date and time you access or use the Platform, and the pages and URLs viewed.

These technologies are used for tracking your activities on the Platform, marketing, and advertising.

We use and process information about you for purposes such as enabling you to access and use the Platform, operate, protect, improve and optimize the Platform, maintain a trusted environment, send service and administrative messages, provide customer support, and comply with our legal obligations.

We may review, scan, or analyze your communications with other users exchanged via the Platform for purposes like fraud prevention, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, investigation, product development, research, and customer support.

Your Personal Information may be disclosed to other users, third-party sites, social networking sites, search engines, our business partners, related entities, third party service providers, law enforcement, and in the context of legal requests, investigations, and compliance activities.

You may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information in your KarPark account by logging into your account. To cancel your KarPark account, contact [email protected].

8. Keeping Your Personal Information Secure

We have implemented administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized access, destruction, or alteration. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy When You Access Third-Party Websites and Resources

The Platform may contain links to other websites not owned or controlled by KarPark, and these websites have their own privacy policies and terms of use. Some portions of the Platform implement Google Maps/Earth mapping services.

1. Referral Service and ReferencesThe Platform provides a referral service for inviting friends and contacts to use the Platform and allows them to write references for you.
